Description

Our last Gainford village murder mystery was such a success that we’re doing it all again but this time with a brand new plot on Sunday July 9th.

Together with Gainford Drama Club we’re bringing you Sweet Murder where all you need to do is work out whodunit.

Walter Worth has died and his family are gathered to learn who gets what in his will. His daughter, Flavia, is certain she will takeover the Worth Sweet Co, his granddaughter Neva is barely interested and his housekeeper is hopeful there might be something for her. But what no one expects is that Walter’s long lost son is about to be mentioned in his will.

As family troubles are brought to the surface a murder will be discovered and that’s when you will have to turn detective.

You’ll arrive at 2pm at the Academy Theatre in Gainford to see a short scene revealing the murder on stage. Then you’ll take your detective notebook outside to track the suspects in gardens and around the village to quiz them and discover clues that will lead you to the culprit.

Our Gainford village murder mystery is a great afternoon for all ages.

We’ll wrap up with you completing your accusations in the theatre before revealing whodunit with an onstage confession.

Tickets are £10 per adult or £5 per child and all proceeds go to the Gainford Drama Club.
